New Machinery

Several years ago MCL began a capital investment plan aimed at increasing capacity and productivity while maintaining and further enhancing its quality name in the market.

Following a complete review of the business we targeted areas that we felt would benefit from capital investment.

To meet increasingly complex parts and target new opportunities MCL have invested in the latest CNC wire eroding machines. The introduction of computerised spark eroding machines has allowed us to reduces the lead time and enhance the quality and accuracy of tooling produced in-house.

To compliment and enhance our existing pressing facilities along with the inclusion of additional Mechanical Presses we have increased our ability to produce high quality “press and sinter” products through the introduction of a new fully automated 30 ton press which utilises an integral robot and pallet unloading system for un manned operation.

Inline monitoring and self adjusting parameters ensure the quality and integrity of the inserts produced.

This new technology allows us to press to closer tolerances reducing any further shaping or grinding operations to a minimum.

All components manufactured and supplied by MCL are sinter hipped to remove any porosity from the finish product. The introduction of a third sinter hip furnace into our factory has greatly increased both the capacity and productivity of our heat treatment facility.
